PaintingParty #7It happened again: August 25, 2012 in Lech near Munich a team of 1 photographer and 8 body artists, including the Luxembourg based artist Lynn Schockmel, came together to paint 10 models to create a beautiful human Antarctic scene. A collective art project like this, means a lot to the community. Artists meet here from all skill level, that's why it is great way to share experiences, techniques and tips to progress further. Even high experienced artist still learn from beginners. Each artist brings in its own style and knowledge which results in a unique piece of art and amazing experience. The journey began similar to the last Africa project: The topic was decided and designed in Photoshop upfront. At the day of the meeting each artist decided which elements or partial elements they would like to paint and if they are more comfortable working with using airbrush, brushes or sponges. Afterwards the models were asked to lay on the floor next to each other. The order has been adjusted and determined to assure their shapes fit perfectly together. The goal was to minimize gaps and create harmony. Once the models sequence were defined, the painting began. It took more than 8 hours to paint all brave models. Each artist took care of their models and made sure they had eaten enough and also if they had taken enough breaks. At the end of the journey everybody was exhausted but proud of the end result.
